For the past decade, ASU Visual Communication Design students have hosted the poster show to fundraise for the senior show in May. This year, we have received posters donated from renowned graphic design professionals across the globe.

Each year, the VCD seniors construct clocks to auction off at poster show. These clocks relate to individual social issues that will ultimately be the topics presented at the senior show in May. Join the riot at poster show for a chance to bid on a unique 12” clock.

This tradition was started by Mark Dudlik, the GDSSA president, and Adria Robles Morúa in 2008. That summer Mark emailed Al Sanft, our professor, and pitched the idea of a student exhibition showcasing the design work from the cities students completed their summer internships. This show was humble. It was not an auction, but a showcase in The Gallery in Design South. The following year, Tanner Woodford and his classmates turned it into a poster show and auction. It has since grown to be a key event during the VCD students’ senior year, and now helps fund the senior exhibition in May. The show continues to grow, and the students of the ASU VCD program amass hundreds of posters to auction each year.
